Beyond our General Meetings every Thursday, we've worked relentlessly to advance a liberal agenda, on campus, in the City, all across New York, and throughout the country.
Take a look at just some of our work from the past few years:
We've met every Thursday for as long as any of us can remember, hosting and learning from professors, elected officials, policy wonks, activists, and so many other generous people.
We've debated on campus against the College Republicans, Libertarians, and Socialists.
We've joined nearby chapters of the College Democrats of America, proudly representing students at the College Democrats of New York Convention, the College Democrats of America Convention, and the Democratic National Convention.
We've written about the issues we care about.
We've teamed up with activist groups on campus, pushing for a livable wage for NYU workers, insisting that NYU Abolish the Box, pledging to host sustainable meetings and events, and advocating for a wide range of causes and policy changes.
We've phone-banked for Democrats across the country, and in 2016, for Hillary For America (2 months straight, 2 hours every Saturday morning, and we loved every second).
We've canvassed for local and national campaigns.
We've represented young voters on TV and in print.
And we've had a blast doing all of it, always remembering that one must "[n]ever doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
